Living Fire started 10 years ago as a puppet
ministry for the children of River of Life Church. A group of young
people ranging in age from sixth grade to high school came together with
a desire to do more for God by ministering to the children.
The ministry was well received and soon found
a need to expand the programs being offered. The clown team was formed
to compliment the puppet presentations. Today, the team offers sign art
(interpretive dance with American Sign Language for the hearing
impaired), interpretive dance, drama, and praise and worship.
The team travels in both North and South
Carolina and Tennessee ministering in churches, camp grounds, and youth
conferences. Each year, the team performs and teaches puppetry and
clowning at the Creations creative arts conference in Gatlinburg
Tennessee for over 700 young people. As a part of the teaching ministry,
we travel to churches and hold workshops to teach puppetry and clowning
for beginning teams. Six other ministry teams have been started by
Living Fire in this manner.
Our philosophy is simple. If God opens a door
to minister, we walk through it. This past year has been busy for the
kingdom.
Our 2008 activities were: March ~ Creations; June~ Asheville; July ~
Good Hope Kids Day; May ~ Cancer walk; September ~ ROLC Kids day, Life
Walk; October ~ Millbrook Harvest festival; December ~ Crosland Park
Kids Day, ROLC Kids Christmas Bash; January ~ Aiken Elementary After
School Puppet Day.
We are currently scheduled in our children’s ministry on a quarterly
basis to present interpretive dance and sign art. Our calendar has open
dates. The team is excited about this ministry and welcomes
opportunities to minister.
There is no charge for us to come and minister. If you
would like to schedule a time, please email Larry Morris at
